Dr. Faizan Iftikhar is one of the few cardiologists in the United States who holds five board certifications — in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
He received his medical degree from Aga Khan University, Pakistan in 1990, completed internal medicine training at Rush Presbyterian Saint Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, and fellowship in cardiology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He has written a number of papers and won first prize in Poster Presentation at the American College of Cardiology Illinois Chapter meeting.
Dr. Iftikhar is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is also affiliated with the Texas Medical Association.
